KINTA VALLEY GEOPARK DISCOVERY DAY TOUR

The Kinta Valley Geopark Discovery Tour is a full-day experience showcasing the geological, natural, and cultural heritage of Kinta Valley (Ipoh, Batu Gajah and Kampar) and its surrounding limestone karst landscape. The tour begins at a designated meeting point in Ipoh and introduces participants to the geological evolution of the Kinta Valley, shaped by millions of years of natural processes and historic tin mining activities.

Highlights include an educational visit to the Geological Museum (weekdays only), a guided exploration of Gua Tempurung via the Dry Route (Tour 2 – TOW), and a scenic boat ride at Tasik Cermin (Mirror Lake), a former mining lake now transformed into a breathtaking geosite. The tour concludes with a heritage walk at Concubine Lane, offering insights into Ipoh’s cultural past and vibrant local lifestyle.
